'Oh Ju-Yoon' is your typical, everyday part-timer. He dies in a coincidental accident, but because of his kindness, he is given another chance to live in a new and different world. However, his future is neither as a hero, nor mage... but a creature at the bottom of the food chain, 'Brick Eater', meeting an atrocious crisis?! Surreal events! An unexpected level up fantasy!

The author doesn't know what he want. The plot is all over and the art is not redeemable too. Dropped

Our world is moved by money. Not power. Not influence. Nor compassion. Money. It's when our protagonist is plucked from it and thrown in a world that is moved by strength, that this particular story starts.

Hi, I'm Ivern, and I'm moved by money also. Give me some. Give some to these artists, too. Their budget is not infinite, and it shows. It's not ugly, by any means, but it is a far cry from the usual shiny and glossy action-manga standard.

It's art with ba*** tho, it's gory, with some surprisingly great scene direction in the main fights. Its usual plainness is not really a big deal (and I will overlook the embarassing character designs of the feeeemales. I'll allow it. Just once.). Looking always pretty is not the priority, with this one (just like in your case): its strength lies in how unique it is. (Not your case)

Dungeon Majesty is a peculiar work, incredibly charming in his frankness and gritty savagery. It feels grounded... in violence. It feels dirty and lived, like its world built by war, inhabited by a strange sense of comfort derived entirely by how g****** fuc**** brutal it is.

In this world, people live. Figures besieged by cruelty and violation, but terribly human. The writing and characterization are nothing short of a miracle, tbh. In a action manga, this kind of variety, of depth, of ambiguity, is rare. You don't know who to trust, and you feel just like Otto. Lost, sailing by sight. The general narration maintains an high level of quality, all throughout, along with an upbeat pacing and some great storytelling. Also a delightfully dark sense of humor. I LOVE IT OKAY? SHUSH!

It belongs more to the adventure genre, very far from the usual action formula. Don't expect linear power growth or precise ability acquisition. I'm recommending it and giving it the GAI (Grand Accolade of Ivern) because it's a very original work, and it's dear to my dead, frigid heart.
